Barbara Imm METAMORA - With great sadness, the family of Barbara Ann (Evans) Imm, 72, of Metamora, formerly of Mackinaw, announces that she passed away peacefully, with family at her bedside, in Peoria, Illinois, on Sunday, January 27, 2019, at 10:51 a.m. Barbara married Keven Dahl of Minonk, Illinois. She later married Raymond Imm of Toluca, Illinois, and together they celebrated 42 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2012. She was a devoted mother and adoring grandmother. Family was at the center of Barbara's world. She made any house a stylish, comfortable and welcoming home. Dining at her table was a privilege and a treat. She was a gracious hostess, an accomplished cook and the life of any party. Barbara was well-known for her own personal style. She did not set foot outside her house without sporting the most current hair style and an outfit complete with coordinated shoes, bag and accessories. Born and raised in Wenona, Illinois, Barbara was a graduate of Wenona High School. She served as Class President in her sophomore year of the Class of 1964, class Secretary in her Junior year and a member of the Student Council in her Freshman year. She was also a member of the Latin club, chorus, Future Homemakers of America and a majorette. She was cast in the class play in her Junior and Senior years. Barbara and Ray lived for a number of years in Brazil, where he was an executive with Caterpillar Tractor Company. They also had homes in Peoria, Illinois, and Cape Coral, Florida, before retiring to their dream home in Paducah, Kentucky. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Wendy (Dahl) Holloway; and son, Trevor Jonathan Imm. Other family surviving her include Wendy's son, Alex, daughter, Rachel, and husband, Bryan Holloway; as well as Trevor's son, Maxwell, daughters, Kaisa and Tabetha, and wife, Kristin (Nelson) Imm. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Becky (Evans) St. Clair; brothers, Craig, Brent and Doug Evans; and many nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her late husband, Ray Imm; her father, Harold Burdette Evans; and mother, Alice (Olsen) Evans. Family and friends are invited to gather at Mona's Italian Restaurant, 202 N. Main St., Toluca, Illinois, from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 31, to celebrate Barbara's life.
