In memory of
On September 2, 2018, Atlas H. Brown was called home to be with our Lord and Savior after months of battling lung cancer. Atlas was born on January 22, 1941; to parents Jenerson Lennon Brown and Mary Geneva Atkinson Brown. Atlas was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a hard working business man who took great pride in having a large family to love and care for. In 77 years he shared many lessons with those he loved. He was a giving man, known and loved by many. Though his time here could have never been enough, he has moved on to a place where he suffers no more. His new chapter begins in a beautiful place called Heaven, celebrating a reunion with friends and family who have passed before him. The family finds comfort in knowing his heart has been made whole as he is back in the arms of his beloved wife, Becky. Atlas was always on the go. He enjoyed being outdoors, working on heavy equipment, drag races, a good steak dinner, and gatherings at his house with his children and grandchildren. Other hobbies included: boating, fishing, humoring his friends and family and keeping everyone around him on their toes. Atlas is predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Edith R. Brown, by his grandparents, parents, and his brother, Jerry Brown. He is survived by brother, Chesley and wife, Vivian Brown; sister, Sylvia Davis; his children, Jeffrey Brown and wife Kelley, Allyson Brown and husband Richie, Leigh Warpole and husband Greg, and Audrey Britt and fiance, John Matthews. He is also survived by Judy Denson, a very special friend who put a smile back on his face and is greatly appreciated.
