Ann A. Loveland
Ann A. (Lawson) Loveland, 74, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family February, 5, 2019. Daughter of the late Jewel and Eva (Shevock) Lawson, she was born in New Haven, CT on June 16, 1944. Ann grew up in Springfield and graduated from Classical High school and later went on to attend STCC and the ELMS college. Ann was a devoted discalced Carmelite, working in the church for a number of years. She will always be remembered for her love of gardening and music, but above all, as a loving and caring grandmother. Ann and her husband were also long time members of the Hampden County Beekeepers’ Association. Ann will be missed by all who knew her, including her loving husband, Bruce Loveland of Florence, MA; her daughter Beth Loveland-Pandora and her husband, Michael, of Florence, MA; and her two grandchildren, William and Sierra Myers; and many other friends and extended family members. She is predeceased by her son Paul Loveland and her brother Peter Lawson. Visiting hours for Ann will be held Monday, February 11, 2019, 4pm-7pm at Sampson’s Chapel of the Acres, 21 Tinkham Road, Springfield, MA 01129. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2019, beginning at 8:30 am at Sampson’s, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Catherine of Siena church, 1023 Parker Street, Springfield, MA 01129. Burial to follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, 895 Parker Street, Springfield, MA 01129. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mass General Cancer Center at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, P.O. Box 329 Northampton, MA 01060.
