DALLAS - Amanda Kennedy Johnson, 31, passed away after a tragic accident on September 3, 2018. She was born February 2, 1987, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of Larry Leon Kennedy and Patti Sisk Kennedy. Amanda attended Gospel Light Holiness Church in Gastonia. She had a big heart and loved her family, friends and animals. She enjoyed sightseeing and traveling with her husband. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Chase Johnson; brother, Michael Shane Kennedy; paternal grandmother, Jean Kennedy, and mother-in-law, Jennifer Ann Linkous. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Max and Mary Sisk; and paternal grandfather, Daniel Kennedy. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 12 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Jerry Willard. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Westview Gardens.
