In memory of
Dec. 22, 1957 - Jan. 3, 2019 EDMOND-OKLAHOMA CITY Ahmad Alizadeh-Fard, also known as Al Fard, passed away at home wrapped in the love of his family. He was born in Tehran, Iran, the third of four children, of his mother, Khanom Behjateh Ghahremanpour and father, Mehdi Alizadeh-Fard. He joined his siblings in Oklahoma, and remained an Okie the rest of his days. Here in OK, Al developed his skills as a Sales professional, enjoying his career in Auto Sales and counting many of his customers as dear friends. A people person, Al was kind and genuinely cared for others. It was through his work that Al met his wife, Melinda Underwood. They celebrated 33 years of marriage and were blessed with three children. His best days were when he was with his family; his children and their friends who were very close to his heart. His daily prayer was to be a good parent and set a good example. Al was a fun guy to be around, easily recognized riding his red scooter. He was diagnosed with Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer this past September, which is rare and extremely aggressive. The Persian word for Champion or Hero is Pahlevoon and so Mr. Al was. Through this battle, he was always seeking ways to serve and cheer others, and often helped others he saw struggling with their own treatment. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his youngest sister, Lily. He is survived by a brother, Ali, of Nice, France; and sister, Maryam, of NYC; his wife, Melinda; his son, Zach and his fiancee, Shannon Thomason; his daughters, Cara and Harper; his mother-in-law, Shirley Bennett; a large, extended family of in-laws in Oklahoma, the East Coast; as well as cousins and uncles scattered throughout the world. Memorial service to be held at Quail Springs Bapt. Church on Jan. 10 at 2:00PM. Memorial donations may be made to the NCI to further thyroid cancer research.
