Wesley Joseph Paxson, 68, passed after a few years in palliative care on October 12, 2016 at 6:20 pm. He was born August 18, 1948 to Joseph and Margaret (Pollock) Paxson. To all who knew Wes, it was no secret that he was free spirited and lived by his own rules. He spent the majority of the last 25 years in Kenora. He loved nature and the outdoors. Wes was a respected electrician with IBEW 402 with a tireless work ethic. He shared his career path with his brothers Don and Rob. Wes is survived by his daughter Carrie (Holger) Paxson Wiens of Calgary, his brothers Don (Pattie) and son Joe Paxson of Thunder Bay and Rob (Dolly) and twins Garnet and McKenzie of Fort Frances, his brother in law Reid Fisher and children Joe (Jenn) and daughter Irelynn, Jim (Jackey) Fisher and Deanne (Shaun) Rask. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and sister Janet Fisher A celebration of Wes' life will be held on October 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Branch 5 Legion Thunder Bay. A special thanks from the family to the staff at Lakehead Manor and Dr. Ross Johnson for the compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer Society.
