Frederick Charles Bear 1950 – 2017 On Wednesday, January 11, 2017 Frederick Bear, Ochapowace First Nation died in Saskatoon at the age of 66 years. A Wake will be held in the Chief Denton George Memorial Multiplex on Sunday, January 15 commencing at 4:00 p.m.; a traditional Feast will be held Monday morning commencing at 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with community Elders officiating. A lunch will take place following the interment in the Valley Bear Cemetery, Ochapowace First Nation. Fred Bear was predeceased by his father Fred Bear, his mother Grace Bear on September 15, 2016 and is survived by his wife Marcella, sons Jason Alexson and Jared Bear; daughters Trudy and Serena Alexson; nine grandchildren: Ocean, Kashina, Kamisha, Leland, Sherise, Cole and Dylan Alexson; Kasheas Johnson and Breyanna McNab; four great-grandchildren: Peyton Alexson, Makaylea Alexson-Horse, Lexus McNab and Suraya Stanley; his brothers and sisters: Wesley, Robert (Janice), Lloyd (Gerree), Faith, Freida, Joy (Robert), Jean (Alfred) and Brenda (Robert); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
