In memory of
ELZINGA, David William February 16, 1933 – March 17, 2017 Dave Elzinga passed away on March 17, 2017 the same way he lived his life - on his own terms and with no regrets. He had a unique way of seeing the best in people and enjoyed life - always looking for an opportunity for a laugh and a good time. He will be missed by his wife Alice, stepdaughters Marlene Budzak and Shirley Spring, son David (Stephanie), daughter-in-law Debra, sisters Edith Visscher and Sandra Shaw (James), his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his friends both near and far. He was predeceased by his parents John and Hilda, brothers Winston and Louis, stepdaughter Hazel and most recently by his son Robert. While he will be missed, he lived, as he described it himself, 84 pretty good years. The family would like to thank the staff at Shepherd's Care Kensington Village for the fantastic care that Dave received during the last few weeks, as well as all the family and friends who visited him and have supported the family during the last few months. A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. on April 20, 2017 in the chapel at Shepherd's Care Kensington Village, 12603 – 135 Avenue NW, Edmonton. If family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Shepherd's Care Foundation – Kensington Village Projects www.shepherdscare.org .
