CHARLES GORDON (Gord) McCREADY (Veteran WWII, Retired Air Canada Captain) Gord passed away peacefully on Monday, October 10, 2016 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of Lucette for 35 years. Loving Dad of David (Michelle), Bob (Lorraine), Judy (Dayne), Rosemary, Brian (Judith) and John (Deb). Loving grandfather of Christina, Ben (Lindsay), Glenn (Corinne), Erin, Michael (Amy), Jennifer (Matt) and Paris. Predeceased by his first wife, Lorraine, and sisters Eileen (Ralph) and Nell (Frank). RCAF World War II Veteran with five years of service and 1,787 hours flying Wellington and Lancaster bombers. Gord joined Air Canada in January 1946 and served 36.5 years with 22,036 safe hours of flying. He completed his career as a Boeing 747 Captain. Gord was a passionate golfer and member of Summerlea Golf Club in Vaudreuil, Quebec and Credit Valley Golf Club in Mississauga. A great pilot officer and gentleman has made his final takeoff. Gord did not have an enemy in the world; he had a perpetual smile and a friendly handshake for everyone he met, he will be missed by all who knew him! Friends may call at Turner & Porter 'Neweduk-Erin –Mills' Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (east of Erin Mills Pkwy.), on Monday from 2–4 and 7–9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at the Springcreek Cemetery, Mississauga.
