In memory of
Heather May STEWART
STEWART, Heather May My sister, Heather May Stewart, passed quietly on Thursday, March 31st, 2021 in Delta, BC. We are thankful she is no longer in pain. She was predeceased by her parents George and Dorothy Stewart. She is survived by her brother Gordon Stewart (Nancy) of Winnipeg, and sister Diane Krepp of Kelowna. She was a loving aunt to many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews around the world. She will also be missed by her numerous cousins across Canada. Heather was born in Winnipeg on May 18, 1949. She was a fun-loving sister and we shared lots of laughs as a family. Heather was an Air Canada flight attendant which allowed her to see many parts of the world, collecting glamorous boyfriends and great memories along the way. Singing and playing the guitar was just one of her many talents. We are so appreciative of all the years she devoted to looking after our parents, until they passed. Her love of animals, especially Samantha her fur baby of 17 years, was a particular joy. After Sammy died, she took on the care of many other dogs and cats. Her quirky laugh, beautiful smile and energy meant she had numerous friends, many of whom have reached out to us with great stories. Her neighbours told us of Heather's welcoming nature, helping with day-to-day chores, sharing a laugh, or just stopping to chat. Her love of thrifting was legendary, and she collected many beautiful things which she treasured. We have shared lots of tears, hugs and laughs as we go through Heather's things repeating "Oh Heather, Heather". Heather loved her garden and especially her glorious cherry tree, which blossomed the week she died, and reminded us of her beautiful soul. Heather will be missed. There will be no formal service at this time. We hope to have a memorial service, once restrictions are lifted.
