Passed away peacefully at the age of 89. Born in Orillia, the youngest of 5 children, he lived most of his life in Bracebridge. He was a carpenter, starting at Lakecraft Boat Builders and later, his own business, Whalen's Woodworking. Karl is survived by his loving wife of almost 69 years Janet (nee Goddard), his children Jill, Lana, Greta, (late) April, Mark, Gary and Janice and their partners Ed, (late) Bryan, (late) Randy, Jim and Greg. Much loved Popa to 19 grandchildren and 25 ½ great-grandchildren. Thank you to the staff of Muskoka Shores for their care and support. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Ducks Unlimited at supporter@ducks.ca
