In memory of
Kathleen Marion Burgin
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Marion Burgin on January 23, 2021 at the age of 95 years. Born on May 9, 1925, she is survived by her son Stephen (Paula), daughter-in-law Dorothy, grandchildren Diane, David (Erika), Donald, and Courtney; great-grandchildren Andrew, Steven, Nicole, Timothy, William, and Divinity. Predeceased by her son, Donald. Kathleen certainly experienced a lot in her lifetime and lived her life on her own terms. She will be remembered for her strong will, great sense of determination, and her infectious laugh. Faced with declining health over the last year, she maintained a positive outlook and still managed a cheery response when asked, "How are you doing?" Kathleen spent the last few years of her life as a resident at The Manor in Gravenhurst and the family extends thanks to the staff there for their care and companionship. Her last few days were at Andy's House hospice in Port Carling. Great thanks also go to that wonderful facility and the attentive and caring staff. They provided great comfort and compassion and eased her passing. According to Kathleen's wishes, a private cremation has taken place. Due to current restrictions related to COVID-19, a celebration of Kathleen's life will be announced at a future date. The family would appreciate expressions of sympathy in the form of a donation to Hospice Muskoka and Andy's House.
