Robert YOUNG
YOUNG, Robert   March 14, 1939 - December 25, 2019 Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Welland County General Hospital in his 80th year. Bob will be sadly missed by Carol, his loving wife of 47 years, and children (Teresa (son Jason and loving grandson), Scott, David and Mary Lynn), grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his brother Charles Frederick (Buster), who died during the Second World War, and sisters Betty and Pat. A large part of his life was his multiple successful businesses in Hamilton, London, St. Catharines and Cobourg, golf and his love of animals. Bob will be sadly missed by many friends and family. He will be remembered for his tenacity, generosity and capacity for committing to lifelong friendships. He was a long-time member of the Glendale Golf & Country Club in Hamilton, ON. Instead of a service, his wishes were to be celebrated quietly by family and friends. There will be a celebration of life at his residence on January 25th from 1 - 4 p.m. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Welland General Hospital for their care and expertise, all of the medical people who supported him over the past few weeks, and the exceptional staff at the Caring for my COPD community health program in Welland. Cremation has taken place. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be left at www.pleasantviewcemetery.ca We would like to sincerely thank everyone for their sympathy and support.
