LABBE, Amelia It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Amelia Labbe on November 8, 2011. She is survived by her beloved husband of 26 years John Paul Labbe, cherished by her sisters Angelica Estrada (Felix), Noemi Flores and brother Eduardo Flores; nieces Mavis Castillo-Hume (Gavin) Eunice and Claudia Estrada, and Jessica Labbe; nephews Enrique Estrada, Todd Labbe and Alejandro Ayra. Meme to Cortes and Rio Castillo-Hume. Amelia was predeceased by her mother Eulalia Flores in 2010. Amelia arrived in Canada in 1978 from La Paz, Bolivia and devoted her life to teaching the Spanish Language and the Latin Culture to generations of students at the University of Calgary. Celebration of Amelia's life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on November 19, 2011 at First Baptist Church, 1311 - 4 Street S.W., Calgary.
