Stanley Jake Leffler January 31, 1946 – February 12, 2017 It is with great sadness that the family of Stanley Leffler announce his passing after courageous battle with cirrhosis. He passed away peacefully at the age of 71 years with his family by his side in Saskatoon at St. Paul's Hospital. Stan will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 50 years Diane (Trombley) Leffler, Saskatoon, SK; daughter Melissa, Saskatoon, SK; son Chad, Calgary, AB; daughter Tanya (Craig Brecelj), Saskatoon, SK; grandchildren Kyler, Kelowna, BC and McKenna, Saskatoon, SK. Also by two brothers Milton (Madeleine) Leffler, Creston, BC and Ross (Jeanne) Leffler, Drumheller, AB; and three sisters Marjorie (Arlan) Larsen, Stettler, AB, Florence Halvorson, Colonsay, SK and Evelyn (Dave) Walker, Drumheller, AB; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Stan was predeceased by his parents Jake and Violet Leffler; stepdad Arnold Fawcett; brother George (Doreen) Leffler; sister Beatrice (Mike) Bergstrom; brothers-in-law Bill Wells and Gilbert Halvorson; and sister-in-law Phyllis Leffler. The Vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2017 and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017. Both services will be held at the Cathedral of the Holy Family (123 Nelson Rd.) in Saskatoon. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Stanley can be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation (75B Lenore Dr, Saskatoon, S7K 7Y1).
