GOLAB, RCAF Wing Commander Anthony Charles "Tony", CM CD (Ret.), January 16, 1919 - October 16, 2016 Passed away peacefully at the Perley-Rideau Veterans Health Centre. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances (nee Ryan) and survived by his son, Shelby Michael (Grazia) and daughter Keri-ann; grandchildren Tracy (Khal), Tony, Ryan (Ashley) and Lisa (James) and great-grandchildren Kaitlen, Andrew, Justin, Thomas, Gabriella, Anissa and Joshua. Tony, a WWII RCAF Spitfire pilot, is best remembered locally as the "Golden Boy" of Ottawa Rough Riders fame both before and after WWII. Services to be held at McEvoy- Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road. Visitation on Friday, October 21 from 7-9 p.m. followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 22.
