In memory of
KRIN ZOOK 1953 - 2016 On October 16, 2016 under the full moon, our beloved Krin slipped away peacefully, leaving her partner-in-life Annette Clough and daughter Makeda Zook to cope with their immeasurable loss. She will be deeply missed by the Clark clan in the United States, her son-in-law George Smith and other in-laws, her sangha and numerous friends and colleagues. She will be remembered for her big heart, open spirit and grounded sense of purpose that she so easily shared with those around her. She was a community educator, a Buddhist and a passionate advocate for youth, especially in the LGBTQ+ community. Immense appreciation to Dr. Ciara Whelan, Dr. Christine Brezden-Masley and Nurse Swanee Tobin for their honesty and humanity over three and a half years of care. Gratitude to Kensington House Hospice for their outstanding care of Krin and support of her family in her last weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Krin's name to Supporting Our Youth c/o Sherbourne Health Centre. Details of a public memorial event will be announced at a later date.
