James Krotenko
James Krotenko passed away suddenly on October 10, 2016 at the age of 83. Survived by his wife Elizabeth, son Blair (Veronika), daughter Lana, 2 grandchildren Vanessa (Matt) and Miranda (Steven), and 1 great grandchild Mason, sisters Lily (Peter), Elizabeth, and Leona (Orest). Predeceased by Nancy (Peter), Ella (John), Lena (George), Louis (Ivy), Sam (Mary), Joe (Kathy), and Harry (Audrey). Jim was born and raised in Stenen Saskatchewan. In 1953, he took a job with the Pacific Great Eastern Railroad which brought him to the Vancouver area. Jim later moved to Prince George and started working for Finning Tractor where he retired after 26 years. Along with his wife Elizabeth, they enjoyed their retirement years traveling in the motor home across Canada and the United States. In the winter, Jim was an successful curler playing in multiple leagues and competing in various bonspiels. Jim was an active member of the Prince George Elks serving the community for over 55 years. He will be missed by his family, friends, and neighbours. Cremation to take place in the Fraserview Crematorium followed by internment in the Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to make a donation to the "Elks & Royal Purple Fund for Children" 100 – 2629 – 29th Avenue, Regina, SK S4S 9Z9.
