In memory of
Katherine Louise PRYSTAI
Prystai, Katherine Louise (Valila) Kathy passed away at home in Edmonton on Monday October 10, 2016. She was born in Saskatoon on August 24, 1963 to Harry and Shirley Valila, and grew up with her sisters Sherri and Karen, and brother Brian. Kathy met David in 1987, and they began their life together, working in Saskatoon. In 1994, they moved to Edmonton, excited about new career and life opportunities. Kathy found her passion, fundraising for charities and foundations. In 2013, Kathy decided to take time off to focus on herself, her family and friends. Over the past few years, she has been able to travel back and forth between Edmonton and Saskatoon to be with and care for those she loved whenever they needed her. She was selfless and caring - and brought light to those she was with. Kathy is survived by her loving husband, David; mom, Shirley; sister, Sherri; brother, Brian; as well as her in-laws, Dave Andrew and Danny Nixey, Karen and Mark Levesque, Michael Prystai, and James and Lana Prystai. Also surviving are nieces, Ashley, Emma and Avery; nephews, Kyle, Chad, Jacob and Jordan; and several aunts and uncles. Kathy was predeceased by her father Harry, and sister Karen. Kathy never met a stranger, could connect with anyone she met and loved telling stories and making people laugh and feel good. She will be dearly missed by all of those whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, you may wish to donate to a charity of your choice. A service will take place at a later date. Goodbyes are not forever, Goodbyes are not the end They simply mean, "We'll miss you" Until we meet again
