GOODHEW, Earl William Sunrise September 12, 1928 – Sunset September 26, 2016 Earl passed on peacefully in the Dulcina Hospice at the age of 88 years. Earl will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Goodhew (Shantz), his sister Joy Dobson, his two children Ron (Cheryl) Goodhew and Karen (Robert) Rowell: his 5 grandchildren Ryan, Royce (Morgan), Derek (Christina), Tyler (Alexis) and Karina (Jesse): and 7 great-grandchildren Darius, Kingston, Charlie, Connor, Ruby-Anne, Sullivan, Shayla. Earl was predeceased by his parents William and Margaret Goodhew, son-in-law Darryl Milgate and brother-in-law Al Dobson. Born in Unity, Saskatchewan Earl enjoyed farming with his parents, after marrying Dorothy from Calgary, the city girl moved to the farm. Eventually they would all move to Calgary. Over time Earl discovered he was a skilled salesman and would build a large life insurance clientele. Earl will be remembered by the truth of his words, the genuineness of his life, his unselfish actions, and the values he lived by. Everyone who spent time with Earl discovered a man who truly cared. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday October 22, 2016 1:00 p.m. at Beddington Pentecostal Church (BP Church) (16 Bermuda Dr. N.W. Calgary, AB).
